Description:

This course covers six essential areas of information for the HR professional to help understand Human Resources Information Systems, and provide a knowledge toolkit for working with the IT department and software vendors. We will accomplish this with a review the types of HRIS jobs in the marketplace and walking through the selection and implementation process of a Human Capital Management system.

Topics include:
1. HRIS – roles, responsibilities, opportunities
2. What is HRIS and what is a Human Capital Management System (HCM)?
3. Choosing an HCM system that works for your business.
4. Putting a new HCM system to work for your business.
5. Working with software vendors, and IT colleagues.
6. Understanding IT terminology, processes, concerns, and language!
